• Weather: thick coastal fog, cool and damp. Puddles in the lot.

• Busy? Four cars were plugged in. The rest of the stalls were open.

• Layout: one straight row of stalls along the edge of the outlet parking lot, backed by grass and pine trees. Easy to pull in.

• Look for: the blue Lincoln City Outlets sign, then the red-and-white Tesla posts.

• Also seen: a separate row of non-Tesla fast chargers across the lot, and lots of open parking, including room for RVs.

What's nearby

• Lincoln City Outlets is right there. Shops are generally open 10 AM to 7 PM (8 PM Saturdays). Store hours vary.

• Restrooms: the outlet center has public restrooms. Drivers report they're only open during mall hours, so plan ahead at night.

• The stores and snack shops at the outlets make it easy to kill 20 to 30 minutes.
