• Weather: sunny, clear blue sky, crisp fall day.

• Busy? A few cars were charging. Plenty of open stalls.

• Layout: tall, slim V4-style posts in short rows around an open lot, with the white power cabinets behind yellow posts. Lots of room to pull in.

• Look for: the white Tesla posts at the edge of the Target lot, backed by hedges and trees.

• Also seen: red, gold and yellow fall trees all around, and leaves on the pavement. A pretty spot to charge in October.

What's nearby

• Target is right there, with groceries and a Starbucks inside. Store hours are generally 8 AM to 10 PM.

• Keizer Station shops are a short walk: REI, Petco, Lowe's, Michaels, Ross, Marshalls, Old Navy, Ulta and more.

• Food: Panera Bread, Chipotle, In-N-Out, Café Yumm!, Firehouse Subs, Panda Express, McDonald's, Brix Tavern and Outback Steakhouse. T4 and Jamba for drinks.

• Restrooms: inside Target during store hours.

• Easy to grab lunch or run errands while you charge.
